Absolutely! The retreat is designed with solo travelers in mind. With just 12 VIP guests, the intimate group size naturally fosters connection — but there's also plenty of space to enjoy moments on your own if you prefer.
It most certainly is. In fact, Portugal consistently ranks as one of the safest countries in Europe and is particularly welcoming to solo female travelers.
Not at all. English is widely spoken in Portugal, and all our guides, workshops, and experiences will be conducted in English.
Don't worry! We'll collect your dietary needs in the pre-trip questionnaire and work with all restaurants and chefs to accommodate you.
Airport transfers are not included in the retreat package. We recommend booking a private transfer service or taxi. We're happy to provide recommendations once you're booked.
Because much of the retreat — from rooms to meals to experiences — is secured and prepaid well in advance, your payments are progressively committed from the moment you book:
- More than 120 days before the retreat: 100% of payments made beyond the deposit may be applied as credit toward a future retreat within 12 months.
- 119–90 days before the retreat: 50% of payments made beyond the deposit may be applied as credit toward a future retreat within 12 months.
- 89–60 days before the retreat: 25% of payments made beyond the deposit may be applied as credit toward a future retreat within 12 months.
- 59 days or fewer before the retreat: All payments are fully committed and non-refundable.
The 20% deposit is non-refundable at all times. Credits apply only to payments already received at the time of cancellation.
Proof of travel insurance is required.
As of now, our retreats are only for self-identifying women. However, we will be expanding in the future to offer couples' only trips so stay tuned!
If you prefer a room to yourself, single-occupancy upgrades may be available on a limited basis. A supplemental charge applies, and availability varies by property. If you’d like one, simply indicate it on your application and we’ll confirm availability.
These retreats are intentionally intimate — just 12 women per Issue. The application helps us curate a group of open-minded, culturally curious women who will thrive together. It’s how we ensure the energy, connection, and experience feel as meaningful as they’re meant to.
